Wild animals are divided into types as well, including wild predators, herbivores, and endangered wild animals, so let's get to know each type separately:
wild predatory animals
- This type of animal depends on other animals for its food.
The lions
- Lions live in groups called bundles.
- Females are the ones who take over the task of hunting and taking care of their cubs.
- Hunting often occurs at night, and when the females bring the prey, the males eat their prey first, then the female, and then the cubs.
Tigers
- Tigers are a family of wild cats, with an average lifespan of 8 to 10 years.
- Tigers hunt their prey alone, and they can hunt large animals by suffocating them. They eat the equivalent of 27 kilograms of meat per day.
Brown bears
- Brown bears are very strong animals, but in fact, they do not depend for their main food on other animals, as they eat fish, berries, herbs, and insects, and may eat deer.
- Also, to maintain their energy, bears are inactive in the winter, so they store a large amount of fat in their bodies for the winter and eat a large amount of food in the summer and autumn.
- In addition to having many skills, bears can walk on four legs and only two can climb trees, swim, crawl, and finally catch fish to eat.
Wolves
- Wolves live in groups of 5 to 10 individuals, and their average lifespan is often 8 to 10 years, and they communicate with each other through the sense of smell, tail movements, and visual signals.
- The weight of the male wolf is about 5 kg, while the weight of the female is about 38 kg. Wolves feed on fruits, vegetables, large insects, and small animals mainly.
Herbivorous wild animals
It was called by this name because it depends for its basic food on herbs, plants, and fruits. It includes many species, including mammals, reptiles, and birds. We will learn about examples of herbivorous wild animals:
Deer
- There are about 43 species of deer, some of them are large and some are small, often you can differentiate between males and females by the presence of horns in males, their main food is herbs.
- They also feed on leaves, plants, fruits, and others. They often select high-protein, low-fiber foods. They have a large and complex digestive system to digest fiber.
The elephants
- Elephants in the African savannah are among the largest land animals on Earth, with some weighing up to 8000 kilograms.
- The length of each of them ranges from 3 to 4 meters, while in the forests of Africa it is considered smaller.
Giraffes
- Giraffes are characterized by the length of their legs and necks, the lengths of males and females range from 4.5 to 5.5 meters, and giraffes feed on the high leaves of trees.
Zebras
- It is distinguished by its black and white striped colors, its groups consist of a male and several females and they are young, the male is the leader and may attack some predators if they threaten the females.
- Also, sometimes predators fail to catch zebras if they are few, and herds of zebras may gather in places of food, and zebras may form with herds of other animals such as giraffes.
- Endangered wild animals
- From the information that you do not know about endangered wild animals, one of the reasons that led to the threat of extinction is overhunting and the presence of urbanization significantly.
- Examples of these animals are pandas, whose number has decreased to 2,500 bears, tigers, which have decreased to 4,000 tigers, gorillas, of which only 220,000 remain in the wild, and orangutans.
